Story Board



1-  The opening scene will consist of flash backs of multiple girls lying on the floor with a voice over giving an over view of their lives. There will be blood surrounding the girls with a cut on their chest suggesting that they were all killed in the same way by the same person.

2-  The second scene will have the first introduction to the inspector and the detective where the chief will be on the phone telling the young inspector of the crime needed to be dealt with.
3-5- These three sections in the story board will consist of a montage having a vary of different shots including a chase on foot and in cars and a flash of a police badge.
6- Finally to end the trailers we will have a scene where there is a suspect about to shoot the detective ending with  a bang of the gun and a flash to someone on the floor surrounded in blood.

Final Film Logo

We designed our movie logo on Serif PagePlus using a font I downloaded called Fugaz One. Initially we had planned for our logo to be in some sort of detective badge but everything I tried looked a bit silly. When making this logo I was going for an action film kind of design while relating it to the police hence the navy colour. As you can see below I have also made a black coloured version because I am undecided about which one to use as the black also looks good. The gun symbol represents the films story and adds a nice finish to the text. My group and myself think the logo in either colour suits our movie well and will be using for our film trailer and distribution advertisement.

Semiotic Analysis of a Trailer

I am going to do a semiotic analysis of a film that has a similar genre to the film i am going to make this film will be legend as it has similar points to the film showing both crime and thriller parts to it.  Institution: Hollywood film set in London Universal are distributors Tom Hardy is a huge actor from Hollywood with blockbusters such as Batman Dark knight, Mad Max and inception Genre: This trailer conveys conventions from mainly action crime and thriller. Action- the fast action packed music Crime- Mob fights in a local pub Thriller- Reggie bringing out gun in a bar. Representation: This Trailer shows that men are more dominant over women. Women seen to be naive and simple with a typical London accent. The only people fighting are males; there are no scenes where the females fight.
